OUR STAFF
Staff members hold relevant qualifications in childcare and education and are constantly working towards achieving further skills and qualifications.
The parents' committee appoints all staff members. Our staff are carefully selected for their caring and sympathetic manner, strength of ideas and imagination and their ability to relate well to Pre-School children.
All staff is employed subject to Ofsted approval, which includes a police check to ensure all workers with children have a suitable background.
OUR KEYWORKER SYSTEM
Each member of staff has particular responsibility for monitoring a small group of children. The keyworker keeps an achievement record for each child under his/her care, recording each child's individual progress in the Foundation Stage learning goals. This record-keeping feeds back into each child's plan, providing valuable information for both staff and parents. These records are available for you to see at any time. At the end of his/her time with us, these records are passed on to their new Pre-School or School, to provide a complete record of your child's achievements and development.
WAYS YOU CAN SUPPORT YOUR CHILD
We encourage parents to come into the Pre-School and help if they are able. At times, when we have planned an outing, parents will be requested to come along as helpers. However, parents can also help by washing toys and dressing-up clothes; bringing in junk for models as required; donating supplies.
The Pre-School is run by a voluntary committee of parents, guardians and/or relatives and a very real way of supporting your child's education is to help with the running and management of the Pre-School. All offers of help are welcome and appreciated.
